On behalf of the Asian American Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) Executive Board and Chairs, we are hereby to cordially invite you to attend our “39th ANNIVERSARY ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER”. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th, 2022, at Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago, 9300 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Rosemont, Illinois.

The event will begin with a reception at 6 pm followed by presentations and dinner beginning at 7:00 pm. Other community leaders and representatives of the media have also been invited to attend. We anticipate having 300-400 attendees. Our organization will also be awarding:
· Trooper Chong Soo Lim Scholarship: Three students from the community and AALEA family.
Trooper Chong Soo Lim is the first Asian officer and AALEA brother who made the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of his duties in 1995. We name this scholarship in his memory.
· Officer Xu Ming Community Appreciation Award: One extraordinary community leader who has demonstrated his or her dedication to serve the community.
Officer Xu Ming, is the only Asian officer and AALEA brother who made the ultimate sacrifice for protecting our city in a carbon monoxide leak at home for tiredness with exhaustion after working extensive hours during the civil unrest in 2020. We name this award in his memory.
This year we have to honor to have Honorable Asst. Chief Ban Tien, from the Houston Police Department to be our Keynote Speaker at the event.
