June 05, 2020 marked the 25th anniversary of the tragic death of our beloved AALEA brother: Illinois State Trooper Chong Soo Lim. He died on duty 25 years ago on June 05, 1995 when his patrol car was struck by a pick-up truck on I-90, near Hoffman Estates. His squad car was rear-ended and eventually burst into flames. On behalf of the Executive Board and Chairs, I ask you to have a moment of silence to commemorate our beloved AALEA brother: Illinois State Trooper Chong Soo Lim. You will never be forgotten!!
