Who we are ?

Founded in 1983, the Asian American Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) is a regional-wide association dedicated to the Asian American members of the law enforcement community and serves as the voice of over 500 members.

AALEA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID #36-4441374) dedicated to developing and promoting stronger connections and collaborations between the Asian American communities and our respective federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies through community service and networking.

AALEA promotes diversity within the law enforcement community and open doors for advancement through leadership training, education and mentorship.

Help AALEA in our mission to assist and advance the civic and cultural aims of the Asian American communities within Illinois.

With your generous help, we will be able to provide more assistance for the association to grow and help more for the community.

AALEA membership carries important benefits, including access to valuable member events and service opportunities.

AALEA is also a member of the National Asian Peace Officers Association (NAPOA), the largest Asian American law enforcement association in America. Therefore, all members of AALEA also earn membership and access to national-level NAPOA.

NAPOA’s member directory of more than 5,000 members nationally is an opportunity to exchange ideas, explore challenges and network with other law enforcement professionals.
